If you the first time in Baku and plan to get a taxi to your destination then you can use the famous UBER service, that have introduced a special rate of 7 AZN ($4.5) to/from airport to any destination in Baku city. Another good option are the so called 'London cabs' (unlike in London these taxis are of purple color) that is also a good bet. They're metered and you cannot be overcharged. From the airport you can call them using 189 taxi service, expect to pay 17-20 AZN. Going around the city is relatively cheap, in the region of 4-5 AZN. Private drivers outside airport would most likely try to charge you more, always agree the rate before you take a taxi (if it is not metered).

Price of $40 is for a sedan car that can seat 3 passengers with luggage comfortably. Although, if you are on a budget, 4 passengers can fit in a sedan car with luggage.  We also have minivans available at a different price.
