16th Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition BakuBuild 2010 will be held on October 20-23, 2010 in Baku at Heydar Aliyev Sport and Concert Complex simultaneously with 8th Caspian International Furniture, Interiors and Design Exhibition Caspian MebelExpo 2010.

Economy of Azerbaijan
Construction and housing markets in Azerbaijan have been seriously affected by global economic crisis. However, Azerbaijan is the least affected economy among other CIS states. Economic forecasts for 2010 for Azerbaijan are quite optimistic. According to the experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Azerbaijan's economic growth for 2010 is expected to be around 7.1 %.
The main indicators of the expected growth of economic development are the growing world market price and demand for oil exports.
According to EBRD, the economies of Central and Eastern Europe after the sharp decline in output in the first half of 2009 is expected to increase by an average of 6.3 percent.
The Bank believes that the financial system of Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, have been influenced by the crisis in a minor way.
Construction industry of Azerbaijan
Construction market of Azerbaijan attract industrialists from many countries.
The real estate market in Azerbaijan is stable. According to the consulting company MBA, in Azerbaijan there are more than 200 construction companies, which continue to erect new buildings.
Since the end of 2009 Azerbaijan companies involved in construction will be licensed.
According to Elkhan Asadov, the deputy head of the State Agency of construction safety monitoring, the application for licensing will improve the safety and quality of construction works.
BakuBuild 2010 Exhibition Profile
Established in 1995, the BakuBuild exhibition is the largest exhibition in the Caspian region and reflects Azerbaijan's economic achievements in this sector.
In 2009, 270 companies from 27 countries participated in the exhibition. There were national stands of Lithuania and Iran, combined stands of Turkey, Belarus and Germany.
