Azeri farmers in Shahagaji settlement of Astara region will be selling pineapple guava that they grow in Hungarian market thanks to the subsidized loan from Azeri government.
According to head of farming enterprise Seiran Novruzov they are going to sell 1 kg of pineapple guava for 15 euro.
Farmers took 10 ha of state land in long lease and
planted 7,5 thousands of exotic trees. Other 10 ha were allocated for
growing of kiwi. Farmers plan to plant another 10 ha of pineapple guava
in 2010. A new water channel from Yuhary Hanbulanchai river has been
erected for this purpose.
