AF HOTEL-AQUA PARK four-star family-resort complex which is situated on the Caspian seashore 21 km from Baku's city centre, the distance from airport is 40 km. The hotel consists of 2 buildings wih the lower one (closer to the sea) being better and upper one with an awful views. The upper building also doesn't have any elevator and you should carry all your luggage yourself through stairs to the third floor! o not expect anyone to help you!!!
There are 300 standard double-bedded rooms with sea view. For those who prefer some more privacy there are 40 luxury triple-suites with terrace and sea view in the territory of the complex and also 16 two-storied luxury family cottages with open kitchen on bed & breakfast basis.
Standard Single/Double room (164 rooms) with double bed has: satellite TV; WI-FI internet access, central air conditioning, IDD telephone, carpet, shower, hairdryer, mirror makeup, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, slippers, shoe horn, wardrobe, dining table with 2comfortable chairs, mini-refrigerator, bottled water. Balcony is overlooking the sea/water park. It is also possible to put an extra bed.
Standard Deluxe (4 rooms) suite consists of two adjacent rooms. The room has: double bed; satellite TV, WI-FI internet access, central air conditioning, IDD telephone, carpet, shower, hair dryer, makeup mirror, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, slippers, shoe horn, wardrobe, dining table with 2 comfortable chairs, corner sofa, mini- refrigerator, bottled water, private balcony overlooking the sea/water park. It is also possible to put an extra bed.
Standard apartment (22 apartments) consists of 3 rooms: 1 room, 2 bed rooms with 2double beds, 2 bath rooms (one with shower and bin the other). The room has: satellite TV, WI-FI internet access, central air conditioning, IDD telephone, carpet, hair dryer, make-up mirror, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, slippers, shoe horn, wardrobe, corner sofa, coffee table, mid-size refrigerator, bottled water. There is a terrace overlooking the sea/water park.
VIP apartment (4 apartments) consists of 3 rooms and kitchenette: 1room; 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, 2 bathrooms (one with shower, in the other tub - Jacuzzi). Amenities: elegant living room, bedroom and upholstered furniture, plasma TV, WI-FI internet access, central air conditioning, IDD telephone, carpet, hair dryer, makeup mirror, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, slippers, shoe horn, a large wardrobe, a dining table with 4 comfortable chairs, coffee table, mid-size refrigerator, bottled water. There is a terrace overlooking the sea/water park.
Cottage (16 cottages) consists of 2 floors. On the first floor there is a kitchen and living room and bathroom on the 2nd floor, 2 bedrooms with double beds, one bath room with shower. In room: satellite TV, central system air- conditioning, IDD telephone, carpet, hair dryer, make-up mirror, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, slippers, shoe horn, wardrobe, dining table with 4 comfortable chairs, coffee table, large refrigerator, bottled water, cupboard, table accessories, and a balcony-terrace overlooking the water park.
Restaurants
The hotel has 5 restaurants "А la Carte": Azerbaijani, Jewish, Georgian cuisine, seafood dishes and the restaurant "Fast Food" - willing to diversify your diet. You will enjoy dishes prepared by hotel's chefs in the tradition of national and European Cuisine. Breakfast outdoors - and you are charged for the day!
Activities
For amateurs of active rest there is an " Aqua Park" where four outdoor swimming pools with water slides, sport playgrounds (tennis, volleyball and basketball), ice rink
The location is very inconvenient, unless you come specifically to stay in this part of Absheron peninsula. Getting to Baku city centre would cost you at least 25 Euros one way. You should also be very careful about taxi drivers because they try to charge you as much as they can, especially if they see you are a foreigner. Our strong adviсe is to use prearraged taxis from the hotel or travel agency.
The worst and really worst part of the hotel is its reception. Employees cannot speak English at all. Hotel management really needs to train its staff for simple issues and those who work at the front desk need to learn to be respectful and prolific when it comes to solve guest issues caused by hotel's personnel incompetence.
The breakfast service and quality is just terrible. If you come downstairs later than 8.30 you can't find clean cup for tea! They also think that the real coffee is 3-in-1 Nescaffe sachet bag. Restaurant is awful and is just a money generating machine.
In short, this is a hotel exclusively for locals that come with families to swim in aquapark and stay overnight in order to avoid return to Baku. Obviously not even close to 4 stars, 3 stars at best if you are generous.
