Amber hotel is located a bit further away from Baku city centre next to ‘Nizami’ metro station (3 minute walk), that would make very easy getting around the city. It will take just 3 stops (with one interchange) to get to Old City and Baku’s major tourist attractions. It is easy to get to the hotel as you can take bus #36 from Airport and it drops you off about 30 meters from the front door. Bus stop is very close to the hotel and the buses that stop here take you to about where ever you want to go. ‘Parkway parade’ shopping mall and food courts are a short 5-8 minute walk away.
The Hotel consists of 8 Standard Double, 11 twin and 3 Junior Suites. The rooms in the hotel are not very spacey but clean and manageable. A hairdryer and slippers are provided in the bathrooms. Windows are blackened out with paint, noise level is a bit high as it is a roadside motel with big city traffic outside. Each room at Amber Hotel is decorated with brown tones and includes a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, hair-dryer, minibar, safe box and a kettle.
Rates are inclusive of breakfast and internet connection. There are lots of decent cafes nearby. The reception lady at the hotel is very helpful and nice. There is no lift but they are willing to help carry your luggage upstairs.
Considering the rates the hotel is definitely worth looking at. Good and easy transport connection, proximity to central tourist areas, decent rooms and helpful staff leave an overall good impression.
