This hotel is within walking distance to main historical monuments of Baku: Maiden Tower(100m), Art Museum(150 m), Shirvanshah's Palace(350 m), Boulevard(200 m). It's a great budget hotel, though the reception could be a bit less gloomy and the carpets a bit newer, but overall this hotel is a great value in Baku.

Boyuk Qala Hotel has tastefully designed accommodation units that exude an air of tranquility and comfort. 10 Deluxe and 5 Luxe rooms are well-equipped with modern amenities and offer a cozy stay to the guests. It offers three star amenities and services which a traveller expects from any hotel of this category. When booking a room enquire where the room would face, there is a mosque across a street and supposedly not everyone would like to be awaken by the call to morning prayer at sunrise.

Hotel's staff is dedicated to make the tourist's stay as comfortable as possible, but they cannot make up for the structural faults. There have been reports of some problems with the bathrooms, which seem to be in need of modernising. Quality of furniture, glazing and general outfit needs urgent actions.

Price/quality factor is ok, but it positively characterises rather price factor than the quality. But staff is what makes this place good indeed.
