Gorgud Plaza is located in central area of Baku within walking distance from the Baku Central Train Station (350 metres). The area has good transport links, ‘28 May’ Metro station is just 5 min walk from the hotel and allows for quick and easy move around the Baku city. If you fancy walking you can reach Baku boulevard and Old City within 30-40 min walk. The location is not the very central in terms of tourist attractions but otherwise you would have paid a hefty premium for the quality hotel like Gorgud Plaza. Hotel has just opened and started to receive first customers from early 2014. Staff is very friendly and polite, but some inconsistencies still might take place but hopefully this is only a matter of time.  

Gorgud Plaza hotel is medium size with 66 rooms in total (of 25 Standard Double, 28 standard twins, 2 triples and 10 Suites). The public areas of the hotel are rather fussy in décor with too much gold and bulky furniture, creating a harsh and unnatural effect. Surprisingly rooms are much better, elegantly finished, very comfortable and tidy. Free Wi-Fi is provided across hotel’s premises. All air-conditioned rooms come with a flat-screen TV, a safety deposit box and a minibar. Free toiletries, slippers, bathrobes and a hairdryer are available in a bathroom.

Hotel features a spa centre, a gym and an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool. The on-site restaurants offer various European and Azerbaijan dishes. The buffet breakfast is served every morning, and guests can have a drink at the lounge bar.

All in all this is a very good choice to stay in Baku in terms of location, price and quality.
