Karat Inn is a small three star hotel based in five-storied building not far from the City Center. Hotel is located close to Heydar Aliyev Concert Hall and Baku railway station. It's located in a noisy, busy part of downtown, which isn't really ideal for tourists. But most Baku attractions are within a 30 minute walking distance, and at least you won't feel like the area is at all "touristy." The nearest Metro station is '28 May' just 5 minutes walk away.

The hotel has twelve comfortable rooms (six singles and six doubles). Rooms are fairly large and simply decorated with a large bed, table, television and bureau. While the furnishings aren't particularly nice, everything is new and spotlessly clean.

Restaurant is on the fifth floor specialises on Azeri cuisine. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is available in hotel's restaurant from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. each morning, or can be delivered to your room if requested. The 'buffet' breakfast table is basically continental, but you can have an omelet and sausage plate prepared for you on request. The kitchen staff doesn't speak any English, only Russian & Azeri, so bring your phrasebook if you want to request a particular kind of eggs!

The staff is very helpful and friendly and available round the clock.

Good budget hotel for Baku within walking distance to main city attractions.
