Qafqaz Baku City Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the business and commercial district of Baku and easily accessible by car and public transportation. 10 minute cab ride to Old Town or Boulevard and that might be a bit far, at least for a tourist traveler. Location is not too far from exhibition center and hotel is ideally suits business travelers. 100 metres away from the hotel there is a decent supermarket.
Hotel was recently built (2012), is quite stylish and modern in look. All bedrooms are designed with comfort and flexibility so that relaxation can be easily obtained. Modern furniture and comfortable beds ensure relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable workspaces will contribute to the success of your project, if you are staying with us for business. The rooms, are adequately spacious and comfortable. Internet is fast and reliable. Rooms come with a 28-30'' flatscreen - mostly local channels and a few english/german ones. Minibar is missing in the rooms. There is an in-room safe. It is next to a very busy road but once windows are closed real shut, the noise of the traffic (and the never ending sounding of horns) are eliminated.
There are plenty of lifts but they are small and although they say they are for up to six, more than two people with luggage would be a squeeze.
There is a good gym in the hotel, and very nice SPA on the 16th floor - it's an unforgettable experience to seat in of the three big Jacuzzies near the window and have all the city panorama in front of you.
Reception is quite friendly and very willing to help. They give you good advice on anything you care to ask. But if order anything be ready for quite a long, there are reports that they are very slow.
Breakfast is good and quite varied, you can have free coffee even while waiting to be picked up. The roof restaurant's food is nice.
Qafqaz Baku City Hotel has Lobby Bar. It is an ideal place for a cocktail after work or a coffee break and snacks at any time. Take a quick break from busy day and enjoy fresh, delicious sandwiches, snacks and invigorating drinks. The aroma of freshly brewed, fine coffee is sure to lure you into this charming cafe' featuring soups, sandwiches and pastries.
A la Carte Restaurant
Perfect location on 18th floor and a Summer terrace with inspiring view over the city is ideal for weekday business lunches and dinners or dinners with friends.
Wellness & Fitness center
This center is located on the 16th floor, Wellness and Fitness center Club 16 offers its guests a spa and fitness area in a modern, 800 sqm structure that has been created and fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and a simple, yet exciting ambience. Center’s services and amenities is designed to help guests relax, maintain balance, keep fit while traveling and featuring Jacuzzi, fitness Studio, Sauna,Turkish Hammam and Relaxation area.
Qafqaz Baku City hotel has swimming pool, sauna and a complete air-conditioned gym with professional equipment. Massage (40 Euros per hour) and spa available as well.
The hotel is in a middle price category and is more than OK for Baku considering most hotels are too expensive in Baku.
In general, good value for your money, and if not location it would have been an ideal choice.
