"Royal Hotel" - is a 3 stars hotel complex opened in March 2012. The hotel is located further away from city centre near 'Nariman Narimanov' metro station (5 minutes walk), making it easy to go around Baku city. The hotel is around 20-25 minute drive from airport, 15-20 drive to city centre. The location is rather nice, lot of cafes and restaurants around, though to sightsee the major tourist attractions of Baku one would be required to head for city centre. But the proximity of Metro station and 2-3 stops drive make it no problem at all. Besides, being located a bit further from prime areas Royal Hotel has an advantage of offering quality accommodation for relatively moderate rates comparing to other hotels in central Baku.

The hotel has 42 standard and suit rooms. The rooms are equipped with mini bar, telephone, LCD TV with 40 channels, high speed Wi-Fi internet, comfortable bed and seating set, hair drier, personal digital safe, split cooling and heating system. The rooms are quite average - clean, comfortable beds, with air conditioning. Internet is fast enough and reliable - both Ethernet and WiFi connections. The bathroom is a bit cramped to lay out your toiletries and move around.

"Royal Restaurant" offers 24 hours service which is based on the first floor of the hotel, offering national and European cuisine. Service and food quality is mediocre. Live Karaoke performer comes on stage at 8PM which makes the restaurant very noisy to have a normal conversation.

Overall, for a slightly more you can find a better hotel. Worth staying just for the pure value alone.
