DAY 1 SATURDAY YEREVAN or TBILISI
Arrival to Zvartnots International Airport early in the morning (It is also possible to arrive to Tbilisi Airport on Friday and transfer to Yerevan for joining the tour on Saturday *). Meet your Phoenix Tour representative. Transfer to the hotel. Check in. Breakfast. Yerevan city tour. Visit Mother Armenia monument and get a spectacular view of Mt. Ararat with panorama of central Yerevan. Visit the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. Take a tour of Cascade complex, Opera House, Northern Avenue and Republic Square. Visit Armenian Genocide Memorial. Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 2 SUNDAY YEREVAN – ECHMIADZIN – ZVARTNOTS – YEREVAN

Breakfast. Drive to Echmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit the churches of St. Hripsime and St. Gayane. Visit the Main Cathedral of Echmiadzin and attend the Holy Liturgy (Sundays). Return to Yerevan. En route visit ruins of the 7th century Zvartnots Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Continue to Yerevan. Take a tour of “Vernissage” to buy souvenirs and gifts. Visit fruit market “Shouka” to buy traditional sweets or dry fruits. Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 3 MONDAY YEREVAN – KHOR VIRAP – NORAVANK – YEREVAN

Breakfast. Drive to Khor Virap monastery, where the Mt. Ararat reveals its breathtaking size and splendor. Drive to the masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture, the 14th century Noravank monastery. Lunch. Stopover for wine tasting at the local wine factory in Areni. Return to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 4 TUESDAY YEREVAN – GARNI – GEGHARD – LAKE SEVAN – HAGHPAT – BAGRATASHEN - TBILISI

Breakfast. Check out from hotel. Drive to the oldest surviving building on the territory of Armenia, the 1st century Garni Pagan Temple. Visit one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia, the 13th century cave monastery of Geghard (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Drive to Lake Sevan. Visit monastery of Sevanavank on Sevan peninsula. Continue to Dilijan, a resort town renowned for its charming nature and extraordinary architecture. Visit the historical district of Old Dilijan, the Sharambeyan Street. Drive to Alaverdi. Visit Haghpat monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Sites). Drive to Armenia-Georgia border. Arrive at Bagratashen checkpoint. After border formalities, drive to Tbilisi. Check into a hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 5 WEDNESDAY TBILISI – ANANURI – GUDAURI – GERGETI –TBILISI

Breakfast. Take the Military Georgian Road across the Caucasus. Visit the 7th century Ananuri castle. Continue to Gudauri ski resort. Visit Kazbegi town and the Gergeti Trinity Church. Take a breathtaking view of Mt. Kazbek and return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 6 THURSDAY TBILISI – MTSKHETA – GORI – UPLISTSIKHE – TBILISI

Breakfast. Drive to Mtskheta and Jvari complex. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where the Robe of Jesus Christ is believed to be buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Continue to Joseph Stalin’s birth place in Gori. Visit the cave town of Uplistsikhe. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 7 FRIDAY TBILISI – KUTAISI

Breakfast. Check out from hotel. Drive to Kutaisi. Kutaisi city tour. Visit Kutaisi old town, continue to 12th century Bagrati and Gelati cathedrals (UNESCO World Heritage Sites). Check into hotel. Overnight in Kutaisi.

DAY 8 SATURDAY OKATSE CANYON

Breakfast. Check out from hotel. Drive to Okatse Canyon natural monument in Village Gorgi. Special sights of this place are waterfalls, waters of the rivers Nabecho and Okatse falling down noisily. Drive to Tbilisi. Check into hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 9 SUNDAY TBILISI

Breakfast. Check out from hotel. Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport. Departure.
