The Consul Mr. Vusal Karimov in Kuala-Lumpur is very helpful, this is one of the best operating embassies of Azerbaijan.  

1.    Embassy Address in Malaysia

The Azeri Embassy in Malaysia has moved and is no longer at Wisma Chinese Chamber in Kuala Lumpur.  Its new address is in Selangor.  Details are as follows:

2.    Visa Fee

Payment is by cash by mail/courier or in person only (no credit card or online payment facility available yet). With an official tourism voucher, the visa cost per passport is MYR130 or USD45. Without an official tourism voucher, the visa cost per British passport is MYR260, per Canadian passport is MYR280, per People's Republic of China passport is MYR220, and per Hong Kong SAR passport is MYR220.  There is an official list of the different fees applicable that you can find online and which is available for viewing at the Embassy itself.

3.    Processing Time
 
Although not guaranteed, the Embassy generally expects to issue a tourist visa 7 days after receipt of all requisite documents.  The passport and any other relevant documents are returned to the applicant in the applicant-provided postage/courier cost-prepaid "return envelope" after the Embassy issues the visa.

4.    Courier Service Provider

The Embassy does not endorse any particular courier service provider, and leaves it to the applicant to decide which service provider he/she prefers to use.  We understand TNT, DHL, FedEx, etc. are all acceptable.

5.    Email enquiries and documents to the Embassy in Malaysia

We confirm that email address for queries is valid and functional - kualalumpur@mission.mfa.gov.az - . This is the email address where travel agency also needs to send electronic copies of visa support papers (LOI/tourism voucher/passport data pages)
