Boutique Palace Hotel is a business type boutique hotel well-situated in the city center in 3-storey building built in 1894, just 20 meters from the main entrance to the Old City's Twin Gate. The hotel's building actually abuts the Old City's wall. A part of this 12th century Old City wall goes through the entrance, reception area and restaurant of the hotel. Old City is a historical part of Baku with greatest art monuments around the place. The site is under protection of UNESCO. However, the real drawback of this is that because it abuts the wall and is at a street corner, there is no real view from the hotel. The rooms and the hotel in general has a complete lack of adequate windows/natural light. If you are looking for a view from your room, you will have to look elsewhere.
Otherwise Boutique Palace is an ideal destination for both corporate as well as leisure travelers seeking supreme comfort in pleasurable ambience. Location is excellent - both to visit the tourist spots of the old town, close to the Caspian sea front and also close to the business districts.
Boutique Palace hotel has marvelous architecture and well furnished interior to provide soothing atmosphere to the visitors. 3-story hotel building was built in 1894 in the era of first oil boom in Baku.
The hotel offers cozy accommodation in its tastefully appointed guest rooms and suites. All these rooms are furnished with sumptuous amenities. Boutique Palace hotel has 10 Suites and the only 1-bedroom Junior Suite. Rooms are very spacious, cozily designed and outfitted with all the comforts of modern day. Some of the rooms have only shower, some with bathtubs/Jacuzzi. All rooms equipped with writing desks, office equipment could be requested for extra charge: laptop, fax, printer, copier and scanner. Rooms come with sufficient toiletries and a complimentary bottle of water, but surprisingly lack slippers. All rooms face a road that is busy during the day and especially at rush hour. But it's fine during the sleeping hours. The rooms on the upper foor have larger windows and generally less noisy than the ones on the first floor. Sultan suite comes with its own sauna!
Among other room features are under-floor heating, anti-fog mirrors, remote control 36" LCD TV with satellite channels, mini-bar with refrigerator, safe, individually controlled air-conditioning, telephone lines in both bathroom and bedroom.
The best room in Boutique Palace is Sultan's Suite with big aquarium, fire place, Turkish bathroom and fantastic design. High speed Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the hotel, data-ports in the room for cable connection via sockets at the bed and writing desk.
Each room is clean and every detail has been thought very carefully. Every room has a workstation which has printer, fax, scanner and copier. Laptops are availabe upon request too.
The distinguishing feature of Boutique Palace hotel is that all the rooms are named after prominent figures in the history of Azerbaijan: statesmen, commanders and national heroes. You will find a lot of interesting information about them in each room. The charming decor with ancient patterns of these elegant rooms has a touch of history.
The restaurant is rather small, typically suitable for breakfast but the food and selection is good. Decent breakfast spread can satisfy the essential needs of vegetarians. There are plenty of cheeses and breads and they can cook an omelette on order.
Now about drawbacks: rooms on the backside of the hotel are quite dark and dingy, with frosted glass you could not see through.
The staff dressed in national clothe is friendly and helpful, making you feel that they are doing everything to serve you in the best way they can do for your comfort. This small yet elegant hotel have made a very good clientele for itself because of the excellent services provided to the guests.
Boutique Palace hotel provides state of the art facilities of dwelling and sophisticated amenities of dining, destined to offer utmost comfort to its guests. A multi-cuisine restaurant serves irresistible variety of dishes; the local food there is fantastically good.
There is a small disco, bar type facility, reasonable breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
