Hotel offers all the amenities of international standard, together with traditional hospitality. The property is a converted apartment block with rooms on two floors and a small restaurant on the ground floor. There is no elevator. There are 35 rooms: 7 single, 14 twins, 13 triple and one deluxe room. All the rooms are well equipped with modern amenities intended to cater all the needs of the guests. On the negative side is the fact that the hotel is old and really needs a great deal of renovation. The carpets are worn out and no amount of cleaning helps.
Rooms are comfortable and are bigger than in other hotels of this class, ensuite bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Inside there is a full mini bar (which you can use without fear of needing a loan to repay), satellite TV and air conditioning. Rooms are cleaned daily with clean towels provided every day.
The buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and one could eat as much as one likes.
The staff is very kind and helpfull as well as the waiters in the restaurant/bar. The cleaning ladies are doing their best though as well as the receptionists and other members of the staff, who are very helpful.
A comfortable mid range hotel in a convenient down town location close to the harbour. With Baku prices it is pretty inexpensive hotel. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. And staff is who make this hotel feel like a home. In short, Empire Hotel is a good option for both the leisure travelers and the business clientele to experience a truly memorable sojourn in Baku at affordable price.
